AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS BE AMENDED BY REVISING
THE TRAFFIC CONTROL MAP ADOPTED IN PARAGRAPH (b) OF SECTION 31-65 OF
SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF AUGUST 1, 1998.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARI5:
Section 1. That the Traffic Control Map adopted in Paragraph (b) of Section 31-65 of the
Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended to
include the following stop signs:
"Stop - Lewis Lane at 5tone Avenue, stopping north-bound traffic."
"Stop - Johnson Street at 12th Street N.E., stopping west-bound traffic."
"Stop - Johnson Street at 17th Street N.E., stoppiilg east-bound traffic."
"Stop - Parr Avenue at 4th Street S.W., stopping east- and west-bound traffic."
Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of
a Misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $200.00, and each
and every day's continuance of any violation of the above-enumerated sections shall constitute and
be deemed a separate offense.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly
repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective oil August 1, 1998.
