98-035 ORD AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO 1710 ON LOT 7 CITY BLOCK 166 ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO DONALD THOMPSONORDINANCE NO. 98'035 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (49) AUTO FiJEL SALES ON LOT 7, CITY BLOCK 166, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO DONALD THOMPSON, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS AN AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A); DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE COMIVIERCIAL DISTRICT (C) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (49) AUTO FUEL SALES SO ESTABLISHED; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFF'ECTIVE DATE OF SEPTEMBER 1, 1998. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section L That the boundaries heretofore establislied by the Zoiiiilg Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, and that a COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (49) AUTO FUEL SALES be, and the same is hereby, established on LOT 7, CITY BLOCK 166, on property belonging to DONALD THOMPSON, so as to include in such COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (49) AUTO FUEL SALES the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently designated as an AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A), and t11at the boundaries of said COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (49) AUTO FUEL SALES, be, and the same are hereby, established as follows: SITUATED witllin the corporate limits of tlie City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Texas, being a part oti the George W. Cox Survey No. 164, and being a part of Tract 2 as conveyed Donald W. Thompson by deed recorded in Vol. 640, Page 381, of the Deed Records of said County and State, more fully described as follows: BEGINNING at an iron pin (s) in a post at the Northwest corner of said Tract 2; THENCE South 88 Deg. 50 Min. East, along Nie South Boundary Line of a tract of land owned by Bray, a distance of 321.1 feet to an iron pin (s) for corller in the North Boundary Line of said tract 2; THENCE South 0 Deg. 18 Min. West, along the West Boundary Line of 24th Street S.E. and along a fence, a distance of 866.1 feet to a concrete marker (fi) for corner; THENCE along the Northerly Boundary Line of Jefferson Road (Farm Road 1507) as follows: Soutli 86 Deg. 47 Min. West, a distance of 19.6 feet to a coiicrete inarker (f); around a curve (R=2904.789) to the right, a distance of 297.9 feet to a concrete marker (fl; North SS Deg. 39 Min. West a distance of 62.3 feet to an iron pin (s) for corner; THENCE along the West Boundary Line of said tract 2 as follows: North 0 Deg. 42 Min. East, along a fence, a distance of 340.2 feet to a post ( fl; North 0 Deg. 51 Min. East a distance of 344.3 feet to the place of beginning and containing 5.849 acres of land, being number 2315 Jefferson Road. Section 2. That the Chief Building Official of the City of Paris be, and lle is hereby, directed to cha»ge the Zoning Map of tlle City of Paris in accardance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance. Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be guilty of a Misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00, and each and every day's continuance of any vio(ation of the above enumerated sections shall constitute and be deemed a separate offense. Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 5. This Ordinance shall become effective Septeinber 1, 1998. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Paris, in regular session convened, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the lOth day of August, 1998.
