AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY
THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A MULTIPLE-FAMILY
DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1(MF-1) ON LOT 10, CITY BLOCK 204, ON PROPERTY
BELONGING TO BRENDA SAVAGE, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY
FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2);
DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE MULTIPLE-FAMILY DWELLING
DISTRICT NO. 1(MF-1) SO ESTABLISHED; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO
EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFN'ECTIVE DATE OF OCTOBER
1, 1998.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretof'ore established by the Zoniug Map and Ordinance
No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, TeRas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, atld that a
MULTIPLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1(MF-1) be, and the same is hereby,
established on LOT 10, CITY BLOCK 204, on property belongiilg to BRENDA SAVAGE, so
as to include in such MULTIPLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1(MF-1) the
hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently designated as a ONE-
FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2), and that the boundaries of said MULTIPLE-
FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1(MF-1), be, and the same are hereby, established as
follows:
SITUATED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, Counry of
Lamar, and State of Texas, being a part of the Asa Jarman Survey, being a part of
a 25 1/2 acre tract conveyed to John Martin by R. C. Chism and wife on May 5,
1883, and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a stake the Northwest corner of a lot conveyed by deed to
J. R. Jackson from F. R. Fenet;
THENCE West a distance of 73 feet, a stake in the East Boundary Line of
a street;
THENCE South a distance of 183 feet, a stake in the North Boundary Line
of an alley;
THENCE East with the North Boundary Line of said alley a distance of 73
feet, being J. R. Jackson's Southwest corner;
THENCE Narth a distance of 183 feet to the place of beginning, being the
same property described in deed from Diane Moss McCoin et al to Lon M. Pitcock
et ux datetl February l, 1978, of record in Volume 599, Page 253, Lamar County
Deed Records, and being number 2249 Boilham Street.
Section 2. That the Chief Building Official of the City of Paris be, and he is hereby,
directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of
Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of
a Misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00, and
each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above-enumerated sections shall
constitute and be deemed a separate offense.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly
repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective October 1, 1998.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Paris, in regular session
convened, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 14th day of September,
1998.
