98-051 ORD PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES BE REVISING SUBPARAGRAPH (B) TO SECTION 16-42 OF SAID CODEORDINANCE NO. 98-051
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING
SUBPARAGRAPH (b) TO SECTION 16-42 OF SAID CODE; SETTING THE
RESIDENTIAL TRASH PICKUP FEE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE OF OCTOBER 1, 1998.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE. CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That Section 16-42 (b) of tlle Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris,
Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended so that suc11 shall read as follows:
"Sec. 16-42. Fees established.
°(b) A residential trash pickup fee ofseven dollars and fifty cents ($7.50) is established
for each residential unit. The occupant of a residential uiiit who dwells in a multifamily
complex consisting of four (4) units or mare, whose landlord has aii annual trash pickup
service contract witll an approved commercial trash collector is entitled to make
application, direct or through his landlord, to the department to be exempt from the seven
dollars and fifty cents ($7.50) resideiitial unit trash pickup fee."
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordina»ces in conflict herewith are hereby expressly
repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on October l, 1998.
