98-059 ORD AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO 1710 ON LOT 2 CITY BLOCK 254 ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO VIRGINIA JESSEEORDINANCE NO. 98'059 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS) ON LOT 2, CITY BLOCK 254, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO VIRGINIA JESSEE, SO A5 TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2); DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS) SO ESTABLISHED; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF DECEMBER 1, 1998. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, and that a NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS) be, and the same is hereby, established on LOT 2, CITY BLOCK 254, on property belonging to VIRGINIA JESSEE, so as to include in such NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS) the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently designated as a ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2), and that the boundaries of said NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS), be, and the same are hereby, established as follows: SITUATED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Texas, being a part of the George W. Cox Survey, also being Lot 2, City Block 254, and being more particularly described in two tracts as follows: FIRST TRACT: A part of Lot 1 of Baker Heights Addition and part of City Block 248: BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of said Lot No. 1 of the said Baker Heights Addition to the said City of Paris, a plat of same being of record in Plat Book 1, Page 88, of the Lamar County Plat Records; THENCE North, with the East Boundary Line of said lot, a distance of 60 feet to the Northeast corner of said lot, continuing North a distance of 4 feet, making in all 64 feet to a fence corner; THENCE West a distance of 24.5 feet to a fence corner; THENCE South a distance of 64 feet to a fence corner; THENCE F.ast a distance of 24.5 feer to the place of beginning, being the same property described in deed from C. B. Coons and wife, Edith Coons, to Mrs. Emily Morgan, dated June 1, 1950, and recorded in Volume 314, Page 357, Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas; reference being made to all instruments and records for all necessary purposes. SECOND TRACT: Being in City Block 254 and as determined from an actual survey made on the ground May 24, 1950, by W. F. Hicks, Engineer, and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of the Burley Fields property, same being 78 feet Southeast from the intersection of the East Boundary Line of 20th Street S.E., formerly designated South 36th Street, with the South Boundary Line of Clarksville Street to an iron post; THENCE in a Southeasterly direction with the South Boundary Line of Clarksville Street a distance of 181.5 feet to a fence corner, same being the Northwest corner of a lot formerly owned by Carl M. McWharter, Jr.; THENCE South a distance of 155 feet to a stake; THENCE West a distance of 102.5 feet to a stake; THENCE North a distance of 124 feet to a stake, being the Northeast corner of C. B. Coons' lot; THENCE West a distance of 65.4 feet to a stake; THENCE North a distance of 14 feet to the Southeast corner of said Fields' lot, continuing North in all a distance of 129.5 feet to the place of beginning, being the same property described in deed from C. W. Cox and wife, Roger Nell Cox, to Mrs. Claude Morgan, dated May 29, 1950, and recorded in Volume 314, Page 350, Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas; reference being here made to all instruments and records for all necessary purposes, and being number 2030 Clarksville Street. Section 2. That the Chief Building Official of the City of Paris be, and he is hereby, directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance. Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00, and each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above-enumerated sections shall constitute and be deemed a separate offense. Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ardinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective December 1, 1998.
