96-013 ORD PROVIDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 2-196 OF SAID CODE
ORDINANCE NO. 96-012
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING
SECTION 2-196 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF
CHARGES FOR COPIES OF PUBLIC INFORMATION IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE
PUBLIC INFORMATION ACT AND OTHER APPLICABLE LAWS OF THE STATE OF
TEXAS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCE5 IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF
FEBRUARY 12, 1996.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That Section 2-196 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris,
Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended so that such shall read as follows:
"Section 2-196. Charges for copies of public information.
"(a) All charges for copies of public information shall be in accordance with
V.T.C.A., Government Code, Chapter 552, all other applicable laws of the State
of Texas, and as prescribed by the rules of the General Services Commission, as
they may, from time to time, be amended.
"(b) The City of Paris shall post the charges for copies of public information
and the procedure for obtaining the same on the official bulletin board of the City
and in the office of the City Clerk. "
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are expressly
repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on February 12, 1996.
