96-031 ORD AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO 1710 ON LOT 16-B CITYI BLOCK 250 ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO JOHN CLAY ORDINANCE NO. 96-031 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (52) - SIGNS AND BILLBOARDS ON LOT 16-B, CITY BLOCK 250, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO JOHN CLAY, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C); DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (52) - SIGNS AND BILLBOARDS SO ESTABLISHED; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JULY 1, 1996. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, and that a COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (52) - SIGNS AND BILLBOARDS be, and the same is hereby, established on LOT 16-B, CITY BLOCK 250, on property belonging to JOHN CLAY, so as to include in such COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (52) - SIGNS AND BILLBOARDS the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently designated as a COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C), and that the boundaries of said COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) with specific use permit (52) - signs and billboards, be, and the same are hereby, established as follows: SITUATED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Texas, and being a part of the Reddin Russell Survey, Abstract No. 786 and being a part of a 10.678 acre tract of land conveyed to John Clay by deed recorded in Volume 535, Page 343, Lamar County Real Property Records, and being further described as follows: BEGINNING at an iron pin for corner in the South Boundary Line of Loop Highway 286, situated North 48° 04' 40" East, a distauce of 148.68 feet and North 78° 47' East, a distance of 241.76 feet with said South Boundary Line from the most westerly corner of said 10.678 acres; THENCE North 78° 47' East with said South Boundary Line a distance of 210.0 to an iron pin for corner; THENCE North 86° 37' East with said South Boundary Line a distance of 30.0 feet to a point for corner; THENCE South 6° 09' East, a distance of 200.0 feet to a point for coriler; THENCE North 88° 09' West, a distance of 121.29 feet to an iron pin for corner; THENCE South 89° 30' West, a distance of 119.62 feet to an iron pin for corner; THENCE North 6° 09' West, a distance of 154.24 feet to the place of beginning and containing 0.975 acres of land located in the 200 block of Loop 286 N.E. Section 2. That the Chief Building Official of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby, directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance. Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00, and each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above enumerated ordinance shall constitute and be deemed a separate offense. Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective July l, 1996. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Paris, in regular session convened, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the lOth day of June, 1996.
