AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY
THE ZOMNG MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING AN OFFICE DISTRICT (O) ON
LOT 5, CITY BLOCK 113-a, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO HOWARD JUMPER,
SR. AND ODIE JUMPER, 50 AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY
DESIGNATED AS A TWO FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (2N); DESIGNATING THE
BOUNDARIES OF THE OFFICE DISTRICT (O) SO ESTABLISHED; PROVIDING FOR
A PENALTY NOT TO EXCET OHEREWITHNAND PROV DING FOR OAN
PARTS ON ORDINANCES 1N CONFLIC
Er'FECTIVE DATE OF JANUARY 1, 1997.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance
No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, and that an
OFFICE DISTRICT (O) be, and the same is hereby, established on LOT 5, CITY BLOCK 1 l3-
A, on property belonging to HOWARD JUMPER, SR. ANU ODIE JUMPER, so as to include
in such OFFICE DISTRICT (O) the hereinafter described property, which was fiormerly and is
presently designated as a TWO FAM LY DWELLING DISTRICT (2F), and that the boundaries
of said OFFICE DISTRICT (O), be, and the same are hereby, established as follows:
SITUATED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of
Lamar, and State of Texas, and being a part of the Larkin Rattan Survey, on the
West side of 12th Street S.E., formerly Webb or South 30th Street, and beingh
described as follows, to-wit:
BEGINNING at a stake in the West boundary line of 12th Street S.E., at
the Northeast corner of the R. L. Doke lot;
THENCE North a distance of 92 feet, a stake;
THENCE West a distance of 140 feet, a stake;
THENCE South a distance of 92 feet, a stake;
THENCE East a distance of 140 feet, to the place of beginning, being
number 340 12th Street S.E.
Section 2. That the Chief Building Official of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby,
directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of
Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty
of a Misdemeanor, and, upon convictin, sh vltiofin of the above en ~me ated ord~na~1000.00~
and each and every day's continuance of any ioa
constitute and be deemed a separate offense.
Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
expressly repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective January l, 1997.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Paris, in regular session
convened, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 9th day of December,
1996.
