ORDINANCE NO. 95-016
AN ORDINANCE CLOSING THE STREET KNOWN AS CENTER AVENUE,
ALSO KNOWN AS CENTER STREET, BEGINNING APPROXIMATELY AT THE
EAST BOUNDARY LINE OF 3RD STREET N.E., EAST TO THE WEST
BOUNDARY LINE OF 6TH STREET N.E. WITHIN THE FAIRGROUND
PROPERTY; DECLARING NO NECESSITY OR NEED OF SAID STREET FOR
CITY USE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF MAY 8, 1995.
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the City Council of the City of
Paris, that a street known as Center Avenue, also known as Center Street, beginning
approximately at the east boundary line of 3rd Street N.E., east to the west boundary line
of 6th Street N.E. within the Fairground property is of no use as a street to the City of
Paris or to its citizens, and the City Council so finds; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That the street known as Center Avenue, also known as Center Street,
beginning approximately at the east boundary line of 3rd Street N.E., east to the west
boundary line of 6th Street N.E. within the Fairground property, described in Exhibit A
attached hereto, is hereby closed.
Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective on May 8, 1995.
