AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, PARI5, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY
THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A PLANNED DEVELOPMENT
DISTRICT-HOUSING DEVELOPMENT (PD-b) ON LOTS 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23
AND 24, BLOCK C, CEDAR PARK ADDITION, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO
HAYDEN SWAIM, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY
DESIGNATED AS AN AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A); DESIGNATING THE
BOUNDARIES OF THE PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT-HOUSING
DEVELOPMENT (PD-b) SO ESTABLISHED; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO
EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF
AUGUST 1, 1995.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance
No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, and that a
PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT-HOUSING DEVELOPMENT (PD-b) be, and the
same is hereby, established on LOTS 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 AND 24, BLOCK C,
CEDAR PARK ADDITION, on property belonging to HAYDEN SWAIM, so as to include in
such PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT-HOUSING DEVELOPMENT (PD-b) the
hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently designated as an
AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A), and that the boundaries of said PLANNED
DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT-HOUSING DEVELOPMENT (PD-b), be, and the same are
hereby, established as follows:
SITUATED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of
Lamar, and State of Texas, and being Lots l, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 and
24, Block C, Cedar Park Addition, and being located in the 2100 block of 40th
Street S.E.
Section 2. That the Chief Building Official of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby,
directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of
Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty
of a Misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00,
and each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above enumerated ordinance shall
constitute and be deemed a separate offense.
Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
expressly repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective August l, 1995.

convened, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the lOth day of July, 1995.

ORDINANCE NO. 1710 BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTIONS 8-107 AND 12-100 OF
SAID ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR THE PERMITTED USE OF BILLBOARD AND
ADVERTISING SIGNS (29) IN GENERAL RETAIL (GR), COMMERCIAL (C),
CENTRAL AREA (CA), LIGHT INDUSTRIAL (LI) AND HEAVY INDUSTRIAL (HI)
DISTRICTS WITH SPECIFIC-USE PERMITS; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO
EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF NLY
1, 1995.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended by
revising Section 8-107 of said ordinance by providing for the permitted use of billboard and
advertising signs (29) in General Retail (GR), Commercial (C), Central Area (CA), Light
Industrial (LI) and Heavy Industrial (HI) Districts with specific-use permits.
Section 2. That Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended by
revising Section 12-100 of said ordinance so that such shall read as follows:
"12-100
(52) Billboard and advertising signs in the GR, C, CA, LI and HI Districts. "
Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty
of a Misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00,
and each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above enumerated section sha11
constitute and be deemed a separate offense.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
expressly repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective on July 1, 1995.
