ORDINANCE NO. 94-036
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A MAXIMUM, REASONABLE AND
PRUDENT RATE OF SPEED ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREETS
AND HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC PLACES IN THE CITY OF PARIS; PROVIDING
NOR A FINE NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR
PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF OCTOBER 1, 1994.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That the following maximum, reasonable and prudent rates of speed
shall be established on those portions of the street hereinafter described:
"From the south curb line of Pine Mill Road to the north curb line of Lamar
Avenue on 42nd Street N.E., a speed limit of twenty-five (25) miles per hour at all
times."
Section 2. Any person violating any of the provision of this ordinance shall be
guilty of a Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed
$200.00.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on October 1, 1994.
