AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY
THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C),
LIMITED TO USE AS A PAWN SHOP, ON LOT 1 AND PART OF LOT 2, BLOCK 2,
FITZHUGH ADDITION, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO JESSE HALL, SO AS TO
INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORI' FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A
NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS) AND A GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT
(GR); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT
(C), LIMITED TO USE AS A PAWN SHOP, SO ESTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance
No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, and that a
COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C), LIMITED TO USE AS A PAWN SHOP, be, and the same
is hereby, established on LOT 1 AND PART OF LOT 2, BLOCK 2, FITZHUGH ADDITION,
on property belonging to JESSE HALL, so as to include in such COMMERCIAL DISTRICT
(C), LIMITED TO USE AS A PAWN SHOP, the hereinafter described property, which was
formerly and is presently designated as a NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS) AND
A GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR), and that the boundaries of said COMMERCIAL
DISTRICT (C), LIMITED TO USE AS A PAWN SHOP, be, and the same are hereby,
established as follows:
SITUATED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of
Lamar, and State of Texas, and being all of Lot 1, Block 2, and the north 22 feet
of the east 108 feet of Lot 2, Block 2 of the Fitzhugh Addition, and being located
at 1295 Fitzhugh Avenue.
Section 2. That the Director of Community Development of the City of Paris, be, and
he is hereby, directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the
provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in
accordance with the provisions of this ordinance.
5ection 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Paris, in regular session
convened, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 12th day of September,
1994.
