ORDINANCE NO. 94-045
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 94-044 OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 26-1, OF SAID
CODE; PROVIDING FOR EXPANSION OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF OCTOBER 6,
1994.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section l. That Section 26-1 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris,
Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows:
"Sec. 26-1. Composition ot department.
The police department of the city shall be composed of the chief of police,
and farty-nine (49) members classified as follows:
(1) One (1) assistant chief.
(2) Three (3) police lieutenants.
(3) Ten (10) police sergeants.
(4) Three (3) police corporals.
(5) Thirty-Two (32) police privates."
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
expressly repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on October 6, 1994.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of October, 1994.
