TO AGE N D A
NOTICE: In accordance with Section 551.125 of the Open Meetings
Act, Notice is hereby given that because of the potential adverse
impact of Hurricane Rita, an emergency or public necessity exists,
which may make it difficult for a quorum of the members of the City
Council of the City of Paris to be in attendance at this meeting. As
a consequence, and again pursuant to said statute, notice is hereby
given that a portion or all of the meeting may have to be conducted
by telephone conference call to include sufficient Council Members.
to constitute a quorum as required by law. If the adverse weather
conditions anticipated as a result of Hurricane Rita require the City
to conduct this meeting by telephone conferencing, the City has
attempted to make all reasonable arrangements to assure that the
requirements of the state law are met with regard to said telephone
conferencing. In addition, the City reserves the r.ight (1) to recess
this meeting if necessary to the following day, Tuesday, September
27, 2005, at a date, time, and place to be determined, if necessary
because of Hurricane Rita, as permitted in Section 551.0411 of the
Open Meetings Act; or (2) to convene this meeting at a location,
time, and date within 72 hours of this notice, again because of
potential catastrophic effects of Hurricane Rita, as permitted in
Section 555.0411 of the Open Meetings Act. .
