93-015 ORD PROVIDING CODE OF ORDINANCES BE REVISED BY AMENDING CHAPTER 26 ARTICLE I OF SAID CODE
ORDINANCE N0. 93-015
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS TEXAS, PROVIDING
THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY
REVISING CHAPTER 26, ARTICLE I, OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR
REORGANIZATION OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF URDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF MAY l, 1993.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That Chapter 26, Article I, Section 26-1 of
the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be
amended so that such shall read as follows:
"Sec. 26-1. Composition of department.
The police department of the city shall be composed of
the chief of police, and forty-three (43) members
classified as follows:
(1) One (1) assistant chief.
(2) Three (3) police lieutenants.
(3) Nine (9) police sergeants.
(4) Three (3) police corporals.
(5) Twenty-seven (27) police privates."
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on
May 1, 1993.
Passed and adopted this 12th day of April, 1993.
