ORDINANCE N0. 43_018 AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF THE OLD PARIS-CLARKSVILLE ROAD, BEGINNING AT A POINT IN THE SOUTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF U.S. HIGHWAY N0. 271 (CLARKSVILLE STREET) APPROXIMATELY 109 FEET EAST OF THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 9, CITY BLOCK 311 AND PROCEEDING IN AN EASTERLY DIRECTION APPROXIMATELY 1333.18 FEET TO THE EAST BOUNDARY LINE OF LOT 13, CITY BLOCK 311; DECLARING NO NECESSITY OR NEED OF SAID STREET FOR CITY USE; AND PKOVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF APRIL 12, 1993. WHEREAS, it has beeri brought to the attention of the City Council of the City of Paris, that a street known as Old Paris-Clarksville Road, beginning at a point in the south right-of-way line of U. S. Highway No. 271 (Clarksville Street) approximately 109 feet east of the northwest corner of Lot 9, City Block 311 and proceeding in an easterly direction approximately 1333.18 feet to ttie east boundary line of Lot 13, City Block 311 is of no use as an alley or street to the City of Paris or to its citizens, and the City Council so finds; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section l. That the street known as Old Clarksville Road, beginning at a point in the south right-of-way line of U. S. Highway No. 271 (Clarksville Street) approximately 109 feet east of the northwest corner of Lot 9, City Block 311 and proceeding in an easterly direction approximately 1,333.18 feet to the east boundary line of Lot 13, City Block 311 described in Exhibit Aattached hereto, is hereby closed.
