AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE N0. 1710 OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES
ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A
PUBLIC LANDS AND INSTITUTIONS DISTRICT (PLI) ON LOTS 3, 4, S,
6 AND 7, CITY BLOCK 178 AND ALL OF CITY BLOCK 179, AND ALL OF
CITY BLOCK 177, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO CITY OF PARIS, SO AS
TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A CENTRAL
AREA DISTRICT (CA); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE
PUBLIC LANDS AND INSTITUTIONS DISTRICT (PLI) SO ESTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established
by the Zoning Nap and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of
Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and
that a PUBLIC LANDS AND INSTITUTIONS DISTRICT (PLI), be, and
the same is hereby established on LOTS 3, 4, 5, 6 AND 7, CITY
BLOCK 178 AND ALL OF CITY BLOCK 179, AND ALL OF CITY BLOCK
177, on property belonging to CITY OF PARIS, so as to include
in such PUBLIC LANDS AND INSTITUT'IONS DISTRICT (PLI) the
hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is
presently designated as a CENTRAL AREA DISTRICT (CA), and
that the boundaries of said PUBLIC LANDS AND INSTITUTIONS
DISTRICT (PLI), be, and the same are hereby established as
follows:
Situated within the corporate limits of the City
of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Texas, and
being Lots 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, City Block 178; a11 of
City Block 179; and all of City Block 177.
Section 2. That the Director of Community Development
of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to change
the Zoning Map of the Ci.ty of Paris in accordance with the
provisions of Ordinance Na. 1710 and the land use map
accompanying the same, and in accordance with the provisions
ot this ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Paris, in regular session convened, in the Council Room, City
Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the llth day of May, 1992.
