AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR PUBLIC
HEAKINGS BEFORE THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF PARIS AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS ON
THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF
PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND APPROPRIATE ZONING UPON ANNEXATION,
AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF
SUCH PUBLlC HEARINGS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section l. That public hearings be held by and
before the Planning and Zoning commission of the City of
Paris, Paris, Texas, on the 6th day of July, 1993, at 6:00
o'clock p.m. in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas; by
and before the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris,
Texas, in Regular Session convened on the 8th day of July,
1993, at 6:00 o'clock p.m., in the Council Room, City Hall,
Paris, Texas; and by before the City Council of the City of
Paris, Paris, Texas, in Regular Session convened on the 12th
day of July, 1993, at 6:00 o'clock p.m., in the Council Room,
City Hall, Paris, Texas, giving all interested persons the
right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation and
appropriate zoning upon annexation of the following described
property:
BEING all that certain tract or parcel of land
situated about 4 miles East of the City of Paris, County
of Lamar and State of Texas, and being a part of the
Enoch Crow Survey, Abstract No. 208 and also being a
part of the same land conveyed to Roy L. Williamson by
G. L. Skidmore by deed of record in Volume 492, Page 53
of the Deed Records of said County and State and being
further described as follows:
BEGINNING at an "X" in concrete ditch for corner
ir► the North Boundary Line of the above mentioned tract
of land, the Northeast corner of Lot 4, Block F,
Sunrise Estates Addition;
THENCE North 891 57' East, a distance of 714.35
feet to an iron pin fnr corner;
THENCE South 00 17' East, a distance of 363.01
feet to an iron pin for corner;
THENCE South 85° 40' West, a distance of 419.37
feet to a point for corner in the center of a concrete
drainage ditch;
THENCE North 290 56' West a distance of 102.20
feet to an "X" in concrete;
THENCE North 15° 48' West, a distance of 50.0 feet
to an "X" in concrete for corner, said point being in a
curve to the right having a radius of 383.10 feet;
THENCE with a portion of said curve to the right
having a long chord bearing South 730 10' West 13.79
feet an arc distance of 13.79 feet to a concrete
monument for corner;

Section 2. That the Mayor of the City of Paris,
Paris, Texas, is hereby authorized and directed to cause
notice of such public hearings to be published once in the
newspaper having general circulation in the City and in the
above described territory nat more that twenty (20) days nor
less than ten (10) days prior to the date of such public
hearings, all in accordance with Section 43.052, Chapter 43,
V.T.C.A. Local Government Code.
Section 3. It is hereby declared to be the inten-
tion of the City Council of the City of Paris that the
sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this
ordinance are severable, and if any phrase, clause, sentence,
paragraph or section of this ordinance shall be declared
uncontstitutional or invalid by the valid judgment or decree
of any court ot competent jurisdiction, such unconstitution-
ality or invalidity shall nat affect any of the remaining
phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs and section s of this
ordinance, since the same would have been enacted by the city
Council without the incorporation in this ordinance of any
unconstitutional or invalid phrases, clauses, sentences,
paragraphs or sections. It is further hereby declared to be
the intention of the City Council of the City of Paris to
exclude any area or areas described in the description of the
property to be annexed, wYiich are not within said City's
jurisdiction to annex and that such area or areas should be
carved out of the description of the property herein
described by the valid judgment or decree of any court of
competent jurisdiction, in order that such area or areas
would not cause this annexation ordinance to be found to be
invalid, voidable or void.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect immedi-
ately upon passage.
