93-054 ORD PROVIDING CODE OF ORDINANCES BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 26-1 OF SAID CODE
ORDINANCE N0. 93-054
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS TEXAS, PROVIDING
THAT THE CODE OF URDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY
REVISING SECTION 26-1, OF SAID CUDE; PROVIDING FOR EXPANSION
OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS
OF ORDINANCES IN CONF'LICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE OF NOVEMBER 15, 1993.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section l. That Section 26-1 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so
that such shall read as follows:
"Sec. 26-I. Composit:ion of department.
The police department of the city shall be composed of
the chief of police, and forty-four (44) members
classified as tollows:
(1) One (1) assistant chief.
(2) Three (3) police lieutenants.
(3) Nirie (9) police sergeants.
(4) Three (3) police corporals.
(5) Twenty-eight (28) police privates."
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 3. This ordinarice shall become effective on
October 28, 1993.
Passed and adopted this 15th day of November, 1993.
