AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE N0. 1710 OF THE CITY
GF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARtES ESTABLISHED BY
THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; EST`ABLISHING A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT
(C) AND SPECIFIC USE PERMIT - BILLBOARD SIGN (52) ON LOT 6, CITY
BLOCK 307, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO COY .JOHNSON, SO AS TO INCLUDE
THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT
(C); A1VD DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT
(C) AND SPECIFIC USE PERMIT - BILLBOARD SIGN (52) SO ESTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY UF PARIS:
Section l. That the boundaries heretofore established by
the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris,
Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a
COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) ANll SPECIFIC USE PERMIT - BILLBOARD SIGN
(52), be, and the same is hereby established on LUT 6, CITY BLOCK
307, on property belonging to COY JaHNSON, so as to include in
such COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) AND SPECIFIC USE PERMIT - BILLBOARD
SIGN (52) the hereinafter described property, which was formerly
and is presently desigriated as a COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C), and
that the boundaries of said COM1vIERCIAL DISTRICT (C) AND SPECIFIC
USE PERMIT - BILLBOARD SIGN (52), be, and the same are hereby
established as follows:
Situated within the corporate Iimits of the City
of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Texas, and
being situated about `Z miles North of the City of
Paris, County of Lamar and State of Texas, a part of
the Reddin Russell Survey No. 786 and being a part of a
14.26 acre tract of land owned by Estelle Council.
BEGINNING at an iron pin for corner in the West
Boundary line of U. S. Highway 171 at the present
Southeast corner of said Council tract of land, said
point for corner also being the Northeast curner of an
18.73 acre tract of land conveyed R. B. Stovall Co. by
deed recorded in Vol. 352, page 259, of the Deed
Records of said County and State.
THENCE North 41 West along the West Boundary Line
of said U. S. Highway 271 a distance of 362 feet to an
iron pin for corner;
THENCE West a distance of 644 feet to an iron pin
for corner in the West Boundary Line of said Council
tract of land;
THENCE South 4° 45' West along the East Boundary
Line of the S.L. and S.F. Railroad a distance of 362.4
feet to an iron pin for corner at the Southwest corner
of said Council tract of land and the Northwest corner
of said Stovall Co. tract of land;
THENCE East a distance of 699 feet to the place of
beginning and containing 5.568 acres of larid.

Section 2. That the Director of Community Development of
the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to change the
Zoning Map of the City of Pari.s in accordance with the provisions
of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same,
and in accordance with the pravisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. Al1 ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council ot the City of Paris,
in regular session convened, in the Council Room, City Hall,
Paris, Texas, on this the llth day of May, 1992.
