92-030 ORD PROVIDING CODE OF ORDINANCES BE AMENDED BY REVISING CHAPTER 26 ARTICLE I OF SAID CODE
ORDINANCE N0. 92-030
AN ORllINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS TEXAS, PROVIDING
THAT THE CUDE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF' PARIS, BE AMENDED BY
REVISING CHAPTEK 26, ARTICLE I, OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING F'OR
EXPANSION OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT; KEPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR
PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE OF JULY 13, 1992.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY UF PARIS:
Section 1. That Chapter 26, Article I, Section 26-1 of
the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be
amended so that such shall read as follows:
"Sec. 26-1. Composition of department.
The police department of the city shall be composed of
the chief of police, and forty-three (43) members
classified as follows:
(1) Une (1) assistant chief.
(2) Four (4) police lieutenants.
(3) Eight (8) police sergeants.
(4) Three (3) police corporals.
(5) T'wenty-seven (27) police privates."
Section 2. All ordiriances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on
July 13, 1992.
