<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE N0. 92-036 <br /> <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 2498, ESTABLISHING A <br /> MAXIMUM, REASONABLE AND PRUDENT RATE OF SPEED ON CERTAIN <br /> PORTIONS OF FM 1507 (JEFFERSON ROAD) FRUM ITS INTERSECTION <br /> WITH STATE HIGHWAY 24 EASTERLY TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH FM <br /> 905; PROVIDING FOR A FINE NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING <br /> ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; <br /> AND PROVIUING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF OCTOBER l, 1992. <br /> BE IT ORDAI1dED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PARIS: <br /> Section l. That Ordinance No. 2498 is amended so that <br /> the following maximum, reasonable and prudent rates of speed <br /> on those portions of FM 1507 (Jefferson Road) from its <br /> intersection with State Highway 24, easterly to its <br /> intersection with FM 905, shall be as follows: <br /> <br /> "From State Highway 24, Easterly 0.423 miles, 40 <br /> miles per hour; <br /> THENCE Easterly 0.740 miles, 50 miles per hour; <br /> THENCE Easterly 0.350 miles, 45 miles per hour at <br /> all times, other than when the school children are <br /> actually crossing the highway, which will be brought to <br /> the attention of motorists by signs, and then only <br /> between Mile Post 2.215 and Mile Post 2.465, at which <br /> time a speed limit of 30 miles per hour shall be in <br /> effect: <br /> 7:30 A.M. until 8:15 A.M.; <br /> 3:30 P.M. until 4:00 P.N1.; <br /> THENCE Easterly 1.984 miles, a speed limit of 50 <br /> miles per hour." <br /> <br /> Section 2. Any person violating any af the provisions <br /> of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Misdemeanor, and upon <br /> conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $200.00. <br /> Section 3. Al1 ordinances or parts of ordinances in <br /> conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. <br /> <br /> Section 4.
