ORDINANCE N0. 92-042
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE
AMENDED BY REVISING CHAPTER 23 OF SAID CODE BY ADDING SECTION
23-30; PROVIDING THAT IT IS ILLEGAL TO DRIVE ANY MOTOR
VEHICLE ON A PORTION OF LAKE CROOK PROPERTY KNOWN AS AREAS 7
AND 8; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF OCTOBER 1,
1992.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section l. That Chapter 23 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended to add Section
23-30 to read as follows:
"Sec. 23-30. Niotorized vehicles prohibited in
certain areas of Lake Crook property.
No person sha11 operate any motor vehicle on
that portion of the Lake Crook property being a
part of areas 7 and 8 of the Lake Crook Hunting
Map, which area begins at the south boundary line
and an extension ot the same west to its
interception of Lake Crook shore line. Thence in a
northerly direction alang both sides of 19th Street
N.W. to the interceptior,s of an east-west line
tangent to the south boundary line of the boat ramp
parking area which line is extended west to Lake
Crook shore line and east to Lake Crook property
boundary line. A copy of which map is on file with
the City Clerk and is displayed at the Paris Police
Department."
Section 2. Any person violating any of the
provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C"
Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum
not to exceed $200.00, and each and every day's continuance
of any violation of the above enumerated section shall
constitute and be deemed a separate offense.
5ection 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on
October 1, 1992.
