<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 97-014 <br /> <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 ON' THE CITY <br /> OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY <br /> THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) <br /> ON LOT 11, CITY BLOCK 321, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO JAMES EVANS AND <br /> ROBERTA COVINGTON, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY <br /> DESIGNATED AS AN AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A); DESIGNATING THE <br /> BOUNDARIES OF THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) SO ESTABLISHED; PROVIDING <br /> FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR <br /> PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN <br /> EFN'ECTIVE DATE OF APRIL 1, 1997. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON' THE CITY ON' PARIS: <br /> <br /> Section l. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance <br /> No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, and that a <br /> COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) be, and the same is hereby, established on LOT 11, CITY <br /> <br /> BLOCK 321, on property belonging to JAMES EVANS AND ROBERTA COVINGTON, so as <br /> to include in such COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) the hereinafter described property, which was <br /> formerly and is presently designated as an AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A), a»d that the <br /> boundaries of said COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C), be, and the same are hereby, established as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> SITUATED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of <br /> Lamar, aild State of Texas, and being a part of the Hiram Williams Survey #1003, <br /> and being a part of a 2 acre tract of land conveyed J. R. Scott by deed recorded in <br /> Vol. 261, Page 542 of the Deed Records of Lamar County, Texas. <br /> BEGINNING at a stake for corner in the South Boundary Line of Spur <br /> Highway 139 at the present Northwest corner of said 2 acre tract of (and, said <br /> point being East a distance of 796 feet and South a distance of 60 feet from the <br /> most Northerly Northwest corner of said Williams Survey; <br /> THENCE South a distance of 305 feet to a stake for corner at the Southwest <br /> corner of said Scott tract of land; <br /> THENCE N 52° E along the Northwesterly Boundary Line of Farm Road <br /> 195 a distance of 326 feet to a stake at the Southeast corner of said Scott tract of <br /> land; <br /> THENCE N 4° W a distance of 198 feet to a stake for corner; <br /> THENCE Westerly along the South Boundary Line of Spur Highway 139 <br /> a distance of 247 feet to the place of beginning. (As shown by plat and field notes <br /> of W. R. Abbott, Registered Public Surveyor of Texas, No. 1443, from an actual <br /> survey made on the ground on September 11, 1970, of record in Vol. 7, Page <br /> 140, Plat Records of Lamar County, Texas.) Being located in the 1700 Block of <br /> FM 195. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Chief Building Official of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby, <br /> directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of <br /> Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the <br /> provisions of this ordinance. <br /> <br /> Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance sllall be guilty of <br /> a Misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be tined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00, and <br /> each aiid every day's continuance of any violatioii of the above enumerated sections shall <br /> constitute and be deemed a separate offense. <br />
