<br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY
<br /> OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY
<br />
<br /> THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C)
<br /> WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT -(52), S[GNS AND BILLBOARDS ON LOT 21, CITY
<br /> BLOCK 315, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO GOLDIE THOMAS WELCH, SO AS TO
<br /> INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A COMMERCIAL
<br /> DISTRICT (C); DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT
<br /> (C) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT -(52), SIGNS AND BILLBOARDS SO
<br /> ESTABLISHED; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00;
<br /> REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
<br /> HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF MAY 1, 1997.

<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
<br />
<br /> Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance
<br /> No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, and that a
<br /> COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT -(52), SIGNS AND
<br /> BILLBOARDS be, and the same is hereby, established on LOT 21, CITY BLOCK 315, on
<br /> property belonging to GOLDIE THOMAS WELCH, so as to include in such COMMERCIAL
<br /> DISTRICT (C) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT -(52), SIGNS AND BILLBOARDS the
<br /> hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently designated as a
<br /> COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C), and that the boundaries of said COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C)
<br /> WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT -(52), SIGNS AND BILLBOARDS, be, and the same are
<br /> hereby, established as follows:

<br /> SITUATED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of
<br /> Lamar, and State of Texas, and being a part of the Enoch Crow Survey and a part
<br /> of the 22.27 acre tract of land conveyed to Goldie Thomas by deed recorded in
<br /> Volume 524, Page 618 of the Lamar County Deed Records, being Lot 7, City
<br /> Block 135, and being further described as follows:
<br /> BEGINNING at a fence post found for corner in the North Boundary Line
<br /> of U. S. Highway 32, the Southwest corner of said 22.27 acres;
<br /> THENCE North 1° 07' 20" East witll the West line of said 22.27 acres a
<br /> distance of 122.09 feet to a fence post for corner;
<br /> THENCE North 81 ° 22' East a distance of 471.30 feet to a point for corner
<br /> in the West Boundary Line of County Road 42620;
<br /> THENCE South 1° 45' East with said West Boundary Line a distance of
<br /> 126.40 feet to a point for corner in the North Boundary Line of U.S. Highway 82;
<br /> THENCE South 60° 32' West with said North Boundary Line a distance
<br /> of 135.0 feet to a right-of-way marker found for corner;
<br /> THENCE South 89° 59' 30" West with said North Boundary Line a
<br />
<br /> distance of 354.67 feet to the place of beginning, and contaiiung 1.61 acres of
<br /> land, being number 4455 Lamar Avenue.
<br />
<br /> Section 2. Tllat the Chief Building Official of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby,
<br /> directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of
<br /> Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the
<br /> provisions of this ordinance.
<br />
<br /> Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of
<br /> a Misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00, and
<br /> each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above enumerated sections shall
<br /> constitute and be deemed a separate offense.
<br />
<br /> Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly
<br /> repealed.
<br />
<br /> Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective May 1, 1997.
