ORDINANCE NO. 97-021
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY
THE ZONING MAP OF SAID C[TY; ESTABLISHING A ONE-FAMILY DWELLING
DISTRICT NO. 3(SF-3) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (39) MOBILE HOME ON LOT
22, CITY BLOCK 297, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO SHABECKA WILSON, SO AS
TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS AN
AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A); DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE ONE-
FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 3(SF-3) WITH SPECIFIC U5E PERMIT (39)
MOBILE HOME SO FSTABLISHED; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED
$2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JUNE 1,
1997.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance
No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, and that a
ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 3(SF-3) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (39)
MOBILE HOME be, and the same is hereby, established on LOT 22, CITY BLOCK 297, on
property belonging to SHABECKA WILSON, so as to include in such ONE-FAMILY
DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 3(SF-3) WITH SPECiFIC USE PERMIT (39) MOBILE HOME
the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently designated as an
AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A), and that the boundaries of said ONE-FAMILY DWELLING
DISTRICT NO. 3(SF-3) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (39) MOBILE HOME, be, and the
same are hereby, established as follows:
SITUATED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of
Lamar, and State of Texas, and being a part of a tract of land conveyed by Eliza
Jana Woods, et al, to Jim Lay by deed recorded in the Deed Records of Lamar
County, Texas, described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a stake 63 feet East of the NW corner of a tract of land
conveyed by A. D. Stephens to L. B. Bell, et ux, by deed recorded in Volume
284, Page 407, Deed Records of Lamar County, Texas;
THENCE East a distance of 90 feet, a stake for corner;
THENCE North a distance of 180 feet, a stake for corner;
THENCE West a distance of 90 feet, a stake for corner;
THENCE South a distance of 180 feet to the place of beginning, being
number 1840 Butler.
Section 2. That the Chief Building Official of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby,
directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of
Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and i» accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of
a Misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be tined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00, and
each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above enumerated sections shall
constitute and be deemed a separate offense.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in contlict herewith are hereby expressly
repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective June l, 1997.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Paris, in regular session
convened, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Paris, Texas, on ' the 12th day of May, 1997.
