97-024 ORD AMENDED ZONING ORDINANCE NO 1710 AND CHANGING BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY ON LOT 14 CITY BLOCK 178 ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO MARK CUNNINGHAM ORDINANCE NO. 97-024 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A LIGHT INDU5TRIAL DISTRICT (LI) ON LOT 14, CITY BLOCK 178, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO MARK CUNNINGHAM, SO AS TO INCLUllE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A COMMERCIAI, DISTRICT (C); DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES Or THE LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (LI) SO ESTABLISHED; PROVIDING N'OR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JUNE 1, 1997. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, and that a LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (LI) be, and the same is hereby, established on LOT 14, CITY BLOCK 178, on property belonging to MARK CUNNINGHAM, so as to include in such LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (LI) the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently designated as a COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C), and that the boundaries of said LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (LI), be, and the same are hereby, established as follows: SITUATED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Texas, being a part of the Larkin Rattan Survey, Abstract No. 778, being known as that tract of land described as the First Tract in a deed from Paris Automatic Gas Co. to Paris Gas Co. Inc., recorded in Volume 605, Page 268 of the Deed Records of Lamar County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at a 1/2" iron rod found for corner in the Westerly line of State Highway No. 24 (S. Church Street), said point being the occupied Southeast corner of the above cited tract of land, said point also being the occupied Northeast corner of the above cited tract of land, aiid said point also being the occupied Northeast corner of a tract of land conveyed to Donald H. Oglesby by deed recorded in Volume 605, Page 191 of the Real Property Records of Lamar County, Texas; THENCE N 89° 57' 38" W along a fence line on the occupied South line of said Paris Gas Co. tract and the North line of said Oglesby tract a distance of 256.58 feet to a 5/8" iron rod found for corner at a fence corner post, said point being the occupied Southwest corner of said Paris Gas Co. tract; THENCE N 23° 46' 58" E along a fence line a distance of 402.00 feet to a 1/2" iron rod set for corner at a fence corner post at the occupied Northwest corner of said Paris Gas Co. tract, said point also being in the South line of a tract of land conveyed to Lamar County Humane Association described in deed recorded in Volume 28, Page 94 of the Real Property Records of Lamar County, Texas; THENCE S 66° 17' 32" E along the South line of said Lamar County Humane Association tract a distance of 236.00 feet to a 1/2" iron rod set for corner in the Westerly line of State Highway No. 24; THENCE S 24° 00' 00" W(Reference Bearing) along the Westerly line of said highway a distance of 299.00 feet to the place of beginning and containing 1.894 acres of land, being located in the 2400 block of S. Church Street. Section 2. That the Chief Building Official of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby, directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance. Section 3. Any person violating any ofi the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be fined M any sum not to exceed $2,000.00, and each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above enumerated sections shall constitute and be deemed a separate offense. Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 5. This ordinance shall becomz effective June l, 1997.
