AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY
THE ZONING MAP OF 5AID CITY; ESTABLISHING A MULTIPLE FAMILY
DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1(MF-1) ON LOTS 2, 3A, 3B, AND 3G1, CITY BLOCK 258,
ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO GARY W. KAMMER, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN
TERRITORY FORMERLY DFSIGNATED AS A ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT
NO. 2(SF-2); DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE MULTIPLE FAMILY
DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1(MF-1) SO ESTABLISHED; PROVIDING FOR A
PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS
OF ORDINANCES IN CONN'I,ICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE OF JULY 1, 1997.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section l. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance
No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, and that a
MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1(MF-1) be, and the same is hereby,
established on LOTS 2, 3A, 3B, AND 3G1, CITY BLOCK 258, on property belonging to GARY
W. KAMMER, so as to include in such MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1
(MF-1) the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently designated as a
ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2), and that the boundaries of said
MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1(MF-1), be, and the same are hereby,
established as follows:
SITUATED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of
Lamar, and State of Texas, being a part of the Hiram Williams Headright Survey,
Abstract N0. 1003, being Lots 3A, 3B, and 3G1, City Block 258; also being the
second and third tracts conveyed to Sarah Dean Goree by deed recorded in Volume
565, Page 896, Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas; also being the same land
conveyed to Sarah Dean Goree by deed recordecl in Volume 573, Page 285, of said
Deed Records; and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron pin set at the Southeast corner of said Lot 3C-1 and
said Goree tract recorded in Volume 573, Page 285, said point also being in the
North Boundary Line of E. Cherry Street;
THENCE North 89 Deg. 45 Min. 20 Sec. West with said North Boundary
Line a distance of 109.37 feet to an iron pin set at the Southwest corner of said Lot
3B and said Third Tract;
THENCE North 0 Deg. 06 Min. West a distance of 323.5 feet to an iron
pin set at the Southeast corner of said Lot 3--A and said Second Tract;
THENCE North 88 Deg. 45 Min. West a distance of 122.87 feet to an iron
pin set at the Southwest corner of said Lot 3-A and said Second Tract;
THENCE North 1 Deg. 28 Min. 25 Sec. East a distance of 228.90 feet to
an iron pin set at the Northwest corner of said Lot 3A and said Second Tract;
THENCE South 88 Deg. 42 Min. 25 Sec. East a distance of 226.95 feet to
an iron pin set at the Northeast corner of said Lot 3C- l and said Goree Tract
recorded in Volume 573, Page 285;
THENCE South a distance of 550.20 feet to the place of beginning,
containing 2.019 acres of land, and being number 2355 E. Cherry Street.
Section 2. That the Chief Building Official of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby,
directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of
Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of
a Misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00, and
each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above enumerated sections shall
constitute and be deemed a separate offeilse.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly
repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective July l, 1997.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Paris, in regular session
convened, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 9th day of June, 1997.
