<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT
<br /> ORDINANCE NO. 97-045, PASSED AND ADOPTED ON THE 8TH DAY SEPTEMBER,
<br /> 1997, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 1 OF SAID ORDINANCE; PROVIDING
<br /> FOR PUBLIC HEARINGS WITHIN EACH AREA TO BE ANNEXED IN ACCORDANCE
<br /> WITH SECTION 43.052(b), LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE; REPEALING ALL
<br /> ORDINANCE OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
<br /> PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF SEPTEMBER 26, 1997.

<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
<br />
<br /> Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 97-045 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be,
<br /> and the same is hereby, amended so that such shall read as follows:
<br />
<br /> "Section 1.
<br />
<br /> "A. That public hearings be held by and before the Planning and Zoning
<br /> Commission of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, on the 6th day of October, 1997,
<br /> at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 135 lst Street S.E., Paris,
<br /> Texas; by and before the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, in
<br /> Regular Session convened on the 9th day of October, 1997, at 6:00 p.m. in the
<br /> City Council Chambers, City Hall, 135 lst Street S.E., Paris, Texas; and, by and
<br /> before the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, in Regular Session
<br /> convened on the 13th day of October, 1997, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council
<br /> Chambel-s, City Hall, 135 lst Street S.E., Paris, Texas; giving all interested
<br /> persons the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation and
<br /> appropriate zoning upon annexation of the following described property:

<br /> "Tract 1
<br />
<br /> "BEGINNING at the existing Paris city limits line at US
<br /> Hwy 82 West and Loop 286 N.W., said point being 600' west of
<br /> the centerline of the outside lane of Loop 286 N.W.;
<br /> "THENCE westerly along the centerline of US Hwy 82
<br /> West a distance of 4317.5' to a point;
<br /> "THENCE southerly along the existing Paris city limits line
<br /> a distance of 500' to a point;
<br /> "THENCE westerly, parallel to and 500' south of the
<br /> centerline of US Hwy 82 West, a distance of 3667' to the east right-
<br /> of-way line of County Road 22900;
<br /> "THENCE northerly along the east right-of-way line of
<br /> County Road 22900 to its intersection with the centerline of US
<br /> Hwy 82 West a distance of 500', and continuing with the east right-
<br /> of-way line of County Road 32100 a distance of 500', in all 1000'
<br /> to a point in the east right-of=way line of County Road 32100, said
<br /> point being 500' north of the centerline of US Hwy 82 West;
<br />
<br /> "THENCE easterly, parallel to and 500' north of the
<br /> centerline of US Hwy 82 West, a distance of 7987' to the existing
<br /> Paris city limits line;
<br /> "THENCE southerly along the existing Paris city limits line
<br /> a distance of 571' to the place of beginning, containing 136.981
<br /> acres.
