ORDINANCE NO. 97-052
AN ORDINANCE ON' THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR
THE REPEAL OF ORDINANCE NO. 97-031 PASSED AND ADOPTED ON THE 9TH DAY
OF JUNE, 1997, WHICH GRANTED TO LYNDLE RAY RANDOLPH, D/B/A CHECKER
CAB, PARIS, TEXAS, A FRANCHISE TO USE THE PUBLIC STREETS, ALLEYS, AND
HIGHWAYS OF THE CITY OF PARIS FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRANSPORTING
PASSENGERS FOR HIRE IN MOTOR VEHICLES, AND DECLARING THE SAME TO
BE NULL AND VOID AND OF NO EFFECT; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR
PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE OF NOVEMBER 1, 1997.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That City of Paris, Paris, Texas, Ordinance No. 97-031 passed and adopted
on the 9th day of June, 1997, which granted to Lyndle Ray Randolph, d/b/a Checker Cab, Paris,
Texas, a franchise to use the public streets, alleys, and highways of the City of Paris for the
purpose of transporting passengers for hire in motor vehicles, is hereby repealed and declared null
and void and of no effect.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
Section 3. This ardinance shall be come effective on November 1, 1997.
