<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 9 7 - 0 5 3 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARI5, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 97-045, PASSED AND ADOPTED ON THE 8TH DAY SEPTEMBER, <br /> 1997, AND AMENDED ON THE 26TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1997, BY ORDINANCE <br /> NO. 97-049, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 1 OF SAID ORDINANCE; <br /> CORRECTING THE LEGAL DESCRIPTIONS FOR TRACTS 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, AND 12; <br /> REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT <br /> HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF NOVEMBER 6, 1997. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the description of the property proposed to be annexed in Ordinance No. 97- <br /> <br /> 045 had certain inaccuracies, such as distances being incorrect; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the land presumed to have been proposed to be annexed is the same land <br /> <br /> being correctly described in this amendment; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 97-045 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, <br /> and the same is hereby, amended so that such shall read as follows: <br /> <br /> "Section 1. <br /> <br /> "A. That public hearings be held by and before the Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, on the 6th day of October, 1997, <br /> at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 135 lst Street S.E., Paris, <br /> Texas; by and before the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, in <br /> Regular Session convened on the 9th day of October, 1997, at 6:00 p.m. in the <br /> City Council Chambers, City Hall, 135 lst Street S.E., Paris, Texas; and, by and <br /> before the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, in Regular Session <br /> convened on the 13th day of October, 1997, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council <br /> Chambers, City Hall, 135 lst Street S.E., Paris, Texas; giving all interested <br /> persons the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation and <br /> appropriate zoning upon annexation of the following described property: <br /> « <br /> <br /> <br /> "Tract 5 <br /> <br /> "BEGINNING at the existing Paris city limits line at FM <br /> 195 North, said point being 2,868 feet northeast of the intersection <br /> of the centerline of FM 195 North and the south boundary line of <br /> Spur 139 and 621 feet east of the centerline of FM 195 North; <br /> "THENCE westerly along the existing Paris city limits line <br /> to its intersection with the centerline of FM 195 North a distance of <br /> 621 feet, and continuing westerly a distance of 614 feet, in all 1,235 <br /> feet to a point; <br /> "THENCE northerly, parallel to and 500 feet west of the <br /> centerline of FM 195 North, a distance of 12,419 feet to the south <br /> boundary line of County Road 42450 (Amherst Road); <br /> "THENCE southerly along the west boundary line of County <br /> Road 42450 (Amherst Road) a distance of 510 feet to the centerline <br /> of FM 195 North; <br /> "THENCE southeasterly, on a line perpendicular to the <br /> centerline of FM 195 North, a distance of 500 feet to a point; <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 1 <br />
