AN ORDINANCE CLOSING THE STREETS AND ALLEYS, LOCATED IN THE
TEXAS AND PACIFIC ADDITION, BEING PACIFIC AVENUE BETWEEN THE EAST
BOUNDARY LINE OF CHURCH STREET AND THE WEST BOUNDARY LINE OF 3RD
STREET S.E. AND BETWEEN THE EAST BOUNDARY LINE OF 3RD STtZEET S.E.
AND THE WEST BOUNDARY LINE OF' 6TH STREET S.E.; SYCAMORE STREET
BETWEEN TFIE EAST BOUNDARY LINE OF LOT 2, CITY BLOCK 162 AND THE
WEST BOUNDARY LINE OF LOT 2, BLOCK 1-A; 4TH STREET S.E. BETWEEN
THE NORTH BOUNDARY LINE OF F'ARIS BLVD. AND THE SOUTH BOUNDARY
LINE OF LOT 2, CITY BLOCK 162; STH STREET S.E. BETWEEN THE NORTH
BOUNDARY LINE OF PARIS BLVD. AND THE SOUTH BOUNDARY LINE OF LOT
S, CITY BLOCK 162; AND THE ALLEYS LOCATED IN BLOCKS 6, 7, 8, 9,
10, 11, 12 AND 13 OF THE TEXAS AND PACIFIC ADDITION; llECLARING NO
NECESSITY OK NEED OF SAID STREETS AND ALLEYS FOR CITY USE BY THE
CITY OF PARIS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JANUARY 14,
1991.
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the City
Council of the City of Paris, that the streets and alleys located
in the Texas and Pacific Addition, being Pacific Avenue between
the east boundary line of Church Street and the west boundary
line uf 3rd Street S.E. and between the east boundary line of 3rd
Street S.E. and the west bUUndary line of bth Street S.E.;
Sycamore Street between the Last boundary line of Lot `L, City
Block 162 and the west boundary line of Lot 2, Block 1-A; 4th
Street S.E. between the north boundary line of Paris Blvd. and
the south boundary line of Lot 2, City Block 162; 5th Street S.E.
between the north boundary line of Paris Blvd and the south
boundary line of Lot 5, City Block 162; and the alleys I.ocated in
Blocks 6, 7, fs, 9, lU, 11, 12 and 13 of the Texas and Pacific
Additiori, are of no use as streets or alleys to the City of Paris
or to its citizens, and the City Council so finds; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section l. That the streets and alleys located in the Texas
and Pacific Acidition, being Pacific Avenue between the east
boundary line of Church Street and the west boundary line of 3rd
Street S.E. and between the east boundary line of 3rd Street S.E.
and the west boundary line of bth Street S.E.; Sycamore Street
between the East boundary line of Lot 2, City Block 162 and the
west boundary line of Lot 2, Block 1-A; 4th Street S.E. between
the north boundary line of Paris Blvd. and the south boundary
line of Lot 2, City Block 162; 5th Street S.E. between the north
boundary line of Paris Blvd and the south boundary line of Lot S,
City Block 162; and the alleys located in Blocks 6, 7, 8, 9, 10,
119 12 and 13 af the Texas and PaciYic Addition, described in
Exhibit A attached hereto, are hereby closed.
Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective on January
14, 1991.

Pacific Avenue beginning at the southwest corner of Lot
7, Block 6, Texas & Pacific Addition to the City of Paris,
Lamar County, Texas. Thence east 250 feet more or less to
the southeast corner of Lot 6 in Block 6 af said Addition.
Thence south 80 feet more or less to the northeast corner of
Lot 1, Block 13 of said Addition. Thence west 250 feet to
the northwest corner of Lot 12, Block 13 of said Addition.
Thence north with the east boundary line of Church Street 80
feet more or less to the place of beginning.
Pacific Avenue beginning at the southwest corner of Lot
6, Block 7, Texas & Pacific Addition to the City of Paris,
Lamar County, Texas. Thence east 910 feet more or less to
the southeast corner of Lot 6, Block 9, of the said Texas and
Pacific Addition. Thence south 80 feet more or less with the
west boundary line of 6th Street Southeast to the northeast
corner of Lot 1, Block 10 of said Addition. Thence west 910
feet more or less to the northwest carner of Lot 12, Block 12
of said Addition. Thence north 80 feet more or less to the
place of beginning.
Fourth Street Southeast, formerly called Wright Street,
beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 11, Block 8, of the
Texas & Pacific Addition to the City of Paris, Lamar County,
Texas. Thence south 632 feet more or less to the southwest
corner of Lot 7, Block 11 of said Addition. Thence with the
north boundary line of Paris Boulevard 80 feet more or less
to the southeast corner of Lot 6, Black 12 of said Addition.
Thence north 632 feet more or less to the northeast corner of
