CI'TY OF PARIS AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS ON
THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION dF' CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF
PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND APPROPRIATE ZONING UPUN ANNEXATION,
ANU AUTHURIZING ANll DIRECTING 'i'HE NiAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF

Section l. That public hearings be held by and
before the Planning and Zoning commission of the City of
Paris, Paris, Texas, on the 3rd day of June, 1991, at 5:30
o'clock p.m. in the Council Kocm, City Ha11, Paris, Texas; by
and before the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris,
T'exas, in Regular Session convened on the 6th day of June,
19919 at 6:00 o' clock p.m,, in the Council Room, City Hall,
Paris, Texas; anci by before the City Council of the City of
Paris, Paris, Texas, in Reg,ular Session convened on the lOth
day of June, 1991, at 6:00 o'clock p.m., in the Council Room,
City tlall, Paris, Texas, giving all interested persons the
right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation and
appropriate zoning upon annexation of the following described
property:
TRACT ONE:
SITUATED within the Corporate Limits of the City
of Paris, Lamar County, Texas, a part of the John
Herrington Survey and a part of a tract of Iand
conveyed Paris Industrial Foundation by the City of
Paris of record in Volume 360, Page 320, of the Deed
Records of said County and State, further described as
follows:
BEGINNING at an iron post for corner said point
being the Southwest corner of the Flex-U-Lite property
said paint also being South 35 degrees East 350 feet,
51 degrees East 213 feet and West 715 feet from the
Northeast corner of the above mentioned tract conveyed
to Paris Industrial Foundation;
THENCE west a distance of 377.4 teet to an iron
pin for corner;
'THENCE North 0 degrees 03 minutes East a distance
of 349 feet to an iron pin for corner;
THENCE North 67 degrees 59 minutes East a distance
of 406.8 feet to a stake for corner, the Northwest
corner of the Flex-O-Lite property;
THENCE South a distance of 501.5 feet to the place
of beginning, and containing 3.683 acres of land, more
or 1ess.
As determined by an actual survey made on the
ground by R. S. Chaney, Registered Professional
Engineer No. 15688 on December 12, 1977.
TRACT TWO:
SITUATED within the Corporate Limits of the City
of Paris, Lamar County, Texas, a part of the John
Herrington Survey and a part of a tract of land
conveyed Paris industrial Foundation by the City of
Paris of record in Volume 360, Page 320, of the Deed
Records of said County and State, further described as

BEGINNING at an iron post for corner, said point
being West a distance of 377.4 feet from the Southwest
corner of the F'lex-O-Lite property, said point also
being South 35 degrees East 350 feet, South 51 degrees
East 213 feet, and West 1092.4 feet from the Northeast
corner of the above mentioned tract conveyed to Paris
Industrial Foundation;
THENCE West a distance of 550 feet to ar iron pin
for corner;
THENCE North 0 degrees 03 minutes East a distance
of 105.13 feet to iran pili for corner;
THENCE North bl degrees 13 minutes East a distance
of 168.54 feet to an iron pin for corner;
THENCE North 6$ degrees OU minutes East a distance
of 434.10 feet to an irori pin for corner;
THENCE South 0 degrees, 03 minutes West a distance
of 349.0 feet to the place of beginning and containing
2.967 acres of land, more or 1ess.
As determined by an actual survey iriade on the
ground by Robert S. Chaney, Registered Public Surveyor
No. 2345 on June 25, 1980.
Section 2. That the Mayor of the City of Paris,
PariS, Texas, is hereby authorized and directed to cause
notice of such public hearitigs to be published once for each
hearitig in the newspaper rISV1Tlg general circulation in the
City and in the above described territory not more that
twenty (20) days nor iess than ten (10) days prior to the
date of such public hearings, all in accordance with the
Section 43.052, Chapter 43, V.T.C.A. Local Government Code.
Sectian 3. It is hereby declared to be the inten-
tion of the City Council of the City of Paris that the
sectiocis, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this
ordinance are severabie, and if any phrase, clause, sen-
tence, paragraph or section of this ordinance shall be
declared unconstitutional or invalid by the valid judgment
or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such
unconstitutionality or invalidity shall not affect any of the
remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs and section
s of this ordinance, since the same would have been enacted
by the city Council without the incorporation in this
ordiciance of any unconstitutional or invalid phrases,
clauses, sentences, paragraphs c,r sections. It is further
hereby declared to be the iritention of the City Cauncil of
the City of Paris to exclude any area or areas described in
the description of the property to be annexed, which are not
within said City's jurisdiction to annex and that such area
or areas should be carved aut of the description of the
property herein described by the valid judgment or decree of
any court of competent jurisdiction, in order that such area
or areas would not cause this anr.exation ordinance to be
found to be invalid, voidable or void.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect immedi-
ateiy upon passage.
Passed and adopted this 13th day of May, 1991.
