ORDINANCE N0. 90-021 AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPERTY UN COLLEGIATE DRIVE FROM 70 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE SOUTH LANE UF LOOP 286 N.E., SOUTHERLY 460.2 FEE'T TO THE NORTH BOUNDARY LINE OF LOT 2, BLOCK 3, TOWN NORTH ESTATES AND FRUM A POINT APPROXIMATELY 5 FEET NORTH OF THE SOUTH PROPERTY LINE OF LOT 20, BLOCK 2, TOWN NORTH ESTATES, SOUTHERLY 2939 FEET TO THE NORTH EDGE OF THE PAVEMENT OF LAMAR AVE, IN THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS; DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF PARIS TO PUBLISH THE SAME THREE (3) TIMES IN THE PARIS NEWS AS REQUIREU BY LAW; APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE FINAL ES'TIMATE OF COSTS AND CONSTRUCTION PLANS OF SUCH STREET IIKPROVEMENTS AS FILED BY THE CITY ENGINEER; FIXING THE CHARGES TO BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS AND THE CHARGES TO BE PAID BY THE CITY OF PARIS; AND WITH THE INTENTION OF FIXING A CHAKGE AND LIEN AGAINST THE REAL AND TRUE OWNERS OF SAID PROPERTY AND AGAINST THE SAID PROPERTY ITSELF. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas hereby finds and determines: l. That the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas has heretofore by ordinance duly enacted on the 19th day of August, 1987, determined the necessity for and ordered the improvement of a certain street and portion thereof in the City of Paris, by excavating, grading, and paving of said public street and highway, and providing for curb and gutter on each side of said street and highway and providing for storm sewer, and according to the plans and specification prepared by the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation, and furnished to the Engineering Bepartment of the City of Paris. 2. That a notice duly executed in the name of the City of Paris, Paris, texas, of the enactment of said above described ordinance has heretofore been filed with the County Clerk of Lamar County, Texas, the County in which said City of Paris is situated. 3. That the City Council has caused the City Engineer to prepare and file estimates of the costs of such improvements and estimates of the amounts per front foot to be assessed against the property abutting said street within the limits defined and the real and true owners thereof. BE IT ORDAINED BY 'THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY UF PARIS: Section 1. The date for public hearing before the City Council of the abutting property owners on the above described property is hereby fixed at 5:15 o'clock P.M., in the City Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, an the 9th day of August, 1990. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish in the Paris News, notice of the public hearing, three (3) times prior to said public hearing, the first of said notices to be published at least twenty-one (21) days prior to the clate of the public hearing, as required by law. That the report to the City Council by the City Engineer, consisting of the final estimate of the costs of the improvements to the abutting property owners of approximately $5.00 per front foot for curb and gutter, plus any additional costs to extend driveways and other
