AN URllINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, YARIS TEXAS, PROVIDING
THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PAKIS, BE AMENDED BY
REVIStNG CHAPTER 26, ARTICLE I, OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR
EXPANSION OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR
PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE llATE UF NOVEMBER 12, 1990.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That Chapter 26, Article I, Section 26-1 of
the Code of Crdinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be
amended so that such sha11 read as follows:
"Sec. 26-1. Composition of department.
The police department of the city shall be composed of
the chief of police, and forty (40) members classified as
follows:
(1) One (1) assistant chief.
(2) Four (4) police lieutenants.
(3) Eight (8) police sergeants.
(4) Three (3) police corporals.
(5) Twenty-four (24) police privates."
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on
November 12, 1990.
Passed and adopted this 12th day of November, 1990.
