89-005 ORD PROVIDING ORDINANCE NO 1710 BE AMENDED, PROVIDING FOR CORRECTION OF PRINTER'S ERROR BY DELETING PUBLIC HOUSING AS A PERMITTED USE IN COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) IN PARAGRAPH 8-101 ORDINANCE N0. 89-005 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT ORDINANCE NO. 1710 BE AMENDED; PROVIDING F'OR THE CORRECTIOII OF A PRINTER'S ERROR BY DELETING PUBLIC HOUSING AS A PERMITTED USE IN THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) IN PARAGRAPH 8-101, PRIMARY RESIDENTIAL USES; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF FEBRUARY 13, 1989. WHEREAS, Public Housing was scheduled as a use for the first time when the zoning district entitled "Public Lands and Institutions District" was established by Ordinance No. 2075 passed and adopted on the 13th day of March, 1972, with an effective date of April l, 1972; and, WHEREAS, there have been no amendments to Zoning Ordinance No. 1710 since the establishment of said use and said Public Lands and Institutions District which permitted the Public Housing use in any district other than the Public Lands and Insitutions District; and, WHEREAS, the printer's error, Public Housing, was indicated in Paragraph 8-101 of Ordinance 1710 as a permissive use in the Commercial District (C) and such error should be corrected in order that persons viewing said ordinance would not be misled into thinking that Public Housing was a permissive use in Commercial District (C); NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section l. That Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended by deleting Public Housing as a permitted use in the Commercial District (C). Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00, and each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above enumerated ordinance shall constitute and be deemed a separate offense. Section 3. Al1 ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon passage.
