AN URDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING
THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY
REVISING ORDINANCE N0. 1710, SECTION I0-100 AND SECTIGN
22-100(46) OF SAID CODE; 1'ROVIDING FOR THE REQUIREMENT OF
DUST-FREE SURFACES FOk REQUIRED OFF-STREET PARKING SPACES OR
LOTS; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING

PROVIDING FOBE IT ORDAINED BY THE CTTY COUNCIL OF' THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That Section 10-100 of Zoning Ordinance No.
1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such
shall read as follows:
"Section 10. Off-Street Parking And Loading
Regulations
10-100. . • •
Such off-street parking shall be covered
with a dust free all-weather surface. All
otf-street required parkitig consisting of 3
spaces or more in existence on September l,
1989, withoUt a dust free surface shall
construct dust free surface on or before
September 1, 1992."
Section 2. That Section 22-100(46) of Zoning Ordinance
No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that
such shall read as follows:
"Section 22. General Definitions
22-1U0(46).
Parking Space - An enclosed or
unenclosed dust-free all-weather surface of
concrete, asphalt, seal coat in accordance
with 1982 Standard Specifications for
Construction of Highways, Streets and Bridges
of the State Department of Highways and
Public Transportation and subsequent
additions, or equivalent approved by the City
Engineer of the City of Paris. All-weather
surfaced area of not less than one hundred
eighty (180) square feet (measuring
approximately 9 feet by 'LO feet) not on a
public street or alley, together with a
dust-free, all-weather surfaced driveway
connecting the area with a street or alley,
permitting fee ingress and egress without
encroaching on the street or alley. Any
parking adjacent to a public street wherein
the maneuvering is done on the public street
shall not be classified as off-street parking
in computing the parking area requirements
for any use."
Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of
this ordinance shall be guilty of a Misdemeanor, an p00 con-

Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective on
September 1, 1989.
