AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE N0. 1710 OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES
ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A
PLArdNEL DEVELOPMENT RETAIL DISTRICT (PD-a) ON Lots 22-A, 23,
24, 24-A, 25, 25-A and 26, City Block 249; Lots 3, 4, 5, 6,
7, 8, and 9, City Block 285; Lot 8, City Block 286; Lots l,
2, 3, and 4, City Block 289; Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11,
and 12, City Block 296; and Lots l, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Block l,
Hayes Heights Addition located on both sides of Lamar Avenue
between 30th N.E. and 33rd S.E., ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO
LAWRENCE McDOWELL, BILL COE, R. P. WOODBY, GLENN SMALLWOOD,
LUCILLE COKER, MRS. JACK BANKHEAD, RACHEL FABER, MRS. W. R.
BEATY, JOHN MADEWELL, BARNEY BRAY, J. T. DAVIS, MICHAEL
LOCK, KATHRYN McFADDEN, EDNA PETWAY, L. L. HAMIL, C. A.

BE IT ORPAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established
by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of
Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed,
and that a PLANNED DEVELOPMENT RETAIL DISTRICT (PD-a), be,
and the same is hereby established on Lots 22-A, 23, 24,
24-A, 25, 25-A and 26, City Block 249; Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,
8, and 9, City Block 285; Lot 8, City Block 286; Lots l, 2,
3, and 4, City Block 289; Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, and
12, City Block 296; and Lots l, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Blcok 1,
Haves Heights Addition located on both sides of Lamar Avenue
between 30th N.E. and. 33rd S.E., on property belonging to
LAWRENCE McDOWELL, BILL COE, R. P. WOODBY, GLENN SMALLWOOD,
LUCILLE COKER, MRS. JACK BANKHEAD, RACHEL FABFR, MRS. W. R.
BEATY, JOHN MADEWELI,, BARNEY BRAY, J. T. DAVIS, MICHAEL
LOCK, KATHRYN McFADDEN, EDNA PETWAY, L. L. HAMIL, C. A.

describecl property, which was formerly and is presently
designated as a OFFICE DISTRICT (0) AND PLANNED DEVELOPMENT
- OFFICE DISTRICT (PD-f), and that the boundaries of said
PLANNED DEVELOPMENT RETAIL DISTRICT (PD-a), be, and the same
are hereby established as follows:
Situated within the corporate limits of the
City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of
Texas, and being more fully described as follows:
TRACT 1:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the North
boundarv line of Lamar Avenue with the West
boundary line of 30th N.E., said point being the
Southeast corner of Lot 8, City Block 286;
THENCE West with the North boundary line of
Lamar Avenue, 100 feet to the Southwest corner of
said Lot 8, City Bl.ock 286;
THENCE North, 168 feet to the Northwest
corner of said Lot 8, City Block 286;
THENCE East, 100 feet to the West boundary
line of 30th N.E., the Northeast corner of said
Lot B, City Block 296;
THENCE South with the West boundary line of
30th N.E., 168 feet to the place of beginning.

Situated within the corporate limits of the

BEGINNING at a point in the South boundary
line of Lamar Avenue, said point being the North-

West 234 feet from the West boundary line of 31st
S.E.;
THENCE South with the East line of said Lot
26, a distance of 247 feet more or less to the
North line of the proposed Johnson Woods Park

THENCE Westerly with the said North line of

Section 2. That the Director of Community Development
of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to
change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance
with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use
map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Paris, in regular session convened, in the Council Room,
City Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 8th day of February,
1988.
