88-014 ORD PROVIDING CODE OF ORDINANCES BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 29-2 OF SAID CODE ORDINANCE N0. 8$-014 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 29-2 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR THE INCLUSION OF PRIVATE PROPERTY IN THE DEFINITION OF FIRE LANE; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JUNE 1, 1988. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PAR7S: Section l. That Section 29-2 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: "Sec. 29-2 Definitions. The following words and phrases when used in this chapter shall for the purposes of this chapter havP the following meanings respectively ascribed to them: Fire lane. Any street, part of a street, or privately owned property upon which the public is invited upon which parking is either restricted or prohibited by the Fire Code of the City of Paris for the purpose of facilitating the use or passage of equipment of the fire department. . . . Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Misdemeanor, and up on conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00, and each and every day's continuance of atiy violation of the above enumerateci section shall constitute and be deemed a separate offense. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on June 1, 1988.
