AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE N0. 1710 OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES
ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A
COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) AND SPECIFIC USE PERMIT - BILLBOARD
SIGN (52) ON : I,OT 2, CITY I3LOCK 306, ON PROPERTY BELONGING
TO CARLES STERLING, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY
rORMERLY BESIGNATED AS A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C); AND
DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C)
AND SPECIFIC USE PERMIT - BILLBOARD SIGN (52) SO
FSTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established
by the Zoning Map and Urdinance No. 1710 of the City of
Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed,
and that a COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) AND SPECIFIC USE PERMIT -
BILLBOARD SIGN (52), be, and the same is hereby established
on: LOT 2, CITY BLOCK 306, on property belonging to CARLES
STERLING, so as to include in such COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C)
AND SPECIFIC USE PEF.MIT - BILLBOARD SIGN (52) the
hereiriafter described property, which was £ormerly and is
presently designated as a COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C), and that
the boundaries of said CUMNIERCIAL DISTRICT (C) AND SPECIFIC
USE PERMIT - BILLBOARD SIGN (52), be, and the same are
hereby estdblished as follows:
Situated within the corporate limits of the
City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of
Texas, and being Being Lot 2, City Block 306 and
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the north
baundary line of Loop 286 with the east boundary
Line of North Main Street;
Thence northerly with said east boundary line
of North Main Street 250 feet to the northwest
corner of said Lot 2;
Thence easterly with the north line of said
Lot 2, 217.6 feet to a poixit; the most westerly
northeast corner of Lot 2;
Thence southeasterly a distance of 143.2 feet
to a point, the most easterly northeast corner of
Lot 2;
Thence southerly with the east line of said
Lot 2, 265 feet to the southeast corner af Lot 2
and in the narth boundary line of Loop 286;
Th.ence with the north boundary line of Loop
286 the following: Westerly, 250 feet to a point;
northwesterly 135 feet to the place of beginning.
Section 2. That the Director of Community Development
of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to
change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance
with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use
map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinaYice.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ardinance shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Paris, in regular session convened, in the Council Room,
City Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the h day of June, 1988.
