ORDINANCE N0. 88-034 AN ORDINANCE CLOSING THE ALLEY, RUNNING NORTH AND SOUTH BETWEEN MARGARET STREET ADID JONES ALLEY, BEING WEST OF 19 STREET S.E. AND EAST OF 17th STREET S.E. DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING AT THE NORTH BOUNDARY LINE OF MARGARET STREET AND THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 12, BLOCK l, ANITA PARK ADDITION AND THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF LOT 9, BLOCK l, ANITA PARK ADDITION: THENCE NORTH APPROXIMATELY 150 FEET TO THE SOUTH BOUNDARY LINE OF JONES ALLEY AND THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 10, BLOCK l, ANITA PARK ADDITION AND THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF LOT 9, BLOCK 1, ANITA PARK ADDITION DECLARING NO NECESSITY OR NEED OF SAID ALLEY FOR CITY USE OTHER THAN FOR A UTILITY EASEMENT, WHICH IS EXPRESSLY RETAINED BY THE CITY OF PARIS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF SEPTEMBER l, 1988. WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the City Council of the City of Paris, that an alley, running North and South between Margaret Street and Jones Alley, being West of 19 Street S.E. and east of 17th Street S.E. described as follows: beginning at the North Boundary Line of Margaret Street and the southwest corner of Lot 12, Block l, Anita Park Addition and the southeast corner of Lot 9, Slock 1, Anita Park Addition; thence north approximately 150 feet to the south boundary line of Jones Alley and the Northwest corner of Lot 10, Block 1, Anita Park Addition and the Northeast corner of Lot 9, Block 1, Anita Park Addition is of no use as an alley or street to the City of Paris or to its citizens, but is of use and necessary to the City of Paris and its citizens for utility easement purposes, «nd the City Council so finds; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That the alley, running North and South between Margaret Street and Jones Alley, being West of 19 Street S.E. and east of 17th Street S.E. described as follows: beginning at the North Boundary Line of Margaret Street and the southwest corner of Lot 12, Block l, Anita Park Addition and the southeast corner of Lot 9, Block 1, Anita Park Addition; thence north approximately 150 feet to the south boundary line of Jones Alley and the Northwest corner of Lot 10, Block 1, Anita Park Addition and the Northeast corner of Lot 9, Block 1, Anita Park Addition described in Exhibit A attached hereto, is hereby closed, with the City of Paris retaining a utility easement.
