AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE N0. 1710 OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES
ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHITdG AN
OFFICE DISTRICT (0) ON LOTS 3 AND 3A, CITY BLOCK 126, ON
PROPERTY BELONGING TO D. LOIS STQCKER, SO AS TO INCLUDE
THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A MULTI-FAMILY
DWELLING DISTRICT N0. 1(MF-1); AND DESIGNATING THF.
BOUNDARIES OF THE OFFICE DISTRICT (0) SO ESTABLISHED.
BE IT OR.DAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section l. That the boundaries heretofore established
by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of
Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed,
and that an OFFICE DISTRICT (0), be, and the same is hereby
established on LOTS 3 AND 3A, CITY BLOCK 126, on property
belonging to D. LOIS STOCKER, so as to include i.n such
OFFICE DISTRICT (0) the her.einafter described property,
which was formerly and is presently dPSignated as a
MULTI-FAr?ILY DWELLING DISTRICT N0. 1(MF-I), and that the
boundaries of said OFFICE DISTRICT (0), Ue, and. the same are
hereby established as follows:
TRACT ONE
Situated withi_n the corporatP ].?mits of the
City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of
Texas, and being a part of the Asa Jarman Survey,
and being a lot 60x97 f_eet oft the South end of a
lot described in deed from Union Investment
Company to George M. Price dated May 15, 1906,
recorded in Book 121, Page 294, Deed Records of
Lamar County, Texas: 55.97 feet of this lot was
deeded by Corrinna W. Price to Cora Lee Stockey
and R. G. Stockey on March 17, 1919, by deed
recorded in Book 178, Page 160, Deed Records of
Lamar County, Texas, and the additional 5x97 feet
now deeded is off the South end of the homestead
of Corrinna W. Price; described by metes and
bounds as foll.ows:
BEGINNING at a stake at the SE corner of said
original lot in the WB line of Division, or 15th
Street;
THENCE NORTH with the WB line of Division
Street and. the EB line of said Lot 60 feet, a.
stake;
THENCE WEST 97 feet, a stake in the WB line
of said original lot;
THENCE SOUTH with the W'B line of said
original lot 60 feet, a stake at its SW corner;
THENCE EAST with the WB line of said Lot 97
to the p.lace of beginning, and being the same
property described in deed from Corrinna W. Price
et al to Frank H. Murphy and wife, Ruth Jones
Murphy, dated July 17, 1934, recorded in Book 235,
Page 597, Deed R.ecords of Lamar County, Texas.
TRACT TWO
Situated within the corporate limits of the
City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of
Texas, and being a part af the Asa Jarman Survey
within the corporate limits of the City of Paris,
described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a stake in the WB line of
Division (South 15th) Street at the SE corner of a
lot conveyed by the Union Investment Company to G.
M. Price and now owned by Frank H.Murphy and wife,
Ruth Jones Murphy;
THENCE SOUTH with the WB line of Division
Street 60 feet, a stake;
THENCE WEST 100 feet, a stake;
THENCE NORTH 60 feet, a stake;
THENCE EAST with the SB line of said Price-
Murphy property 100 feet to the place of
beginning, and being the same property described
in deed from Margaret Isabel Thielen to Frank H.
Murphy and wif.e, Ruth Jones Murphy, dated August
24, 1942, recorded in Book 264, Page 187, Deed
Records of Lamar County, Texas.
Section 2. That the Director of Community Development
of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to
change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance
with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use
map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Paris, in reguZar session convened, in the Council Room,
City Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 9th day of March, 1987.
