87-017 ORD PROVIDING CODE OF ORDINANCES BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 290-112 (b) AND (c) OF SAID CODE
ORDINANCE N0. 87-017
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PAR.IS, BE
AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 29-1I2 (b) and (c) OF SAID CODE;
PP.OVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF A REVISED TRAFFIC PARKING MAP;
PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF APRIL 1, 1987.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section 1. That Section 29-112 (b) and (c) of the
Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be
amended so that such shall read as follows:
"Sec. 29-112. Traff:ic parking system.
(a) . . .
(b) Revised Traffic Parking Map adopted.
Two (2) original official and identical copies of
the Revised Traffic Parking Map are hereby
adopted, bearing the signature of the mayor, the
attestation of the city clerk and approved as to
form by the city attorney, revised March 9, 1987,
and shall be filed and maintained as follows:
(1) One copy of the Original Traffic Parking
rZap and onP copy of the Revised Traffic
Parking Map shall be filed with the city
clerk and retained as the original
record and shall not be changed in any
manner.
(2) One copy of the Revised Traff ic Parking
Map shall be filed with the chief, Paris
police department, and shall be main-
tained up-to-date by the Director of
Community Development by posting all
changes in the form of subsequent
amendments for use in enforcing the
observance of parking established.
(3) Reproductions for information purposes
may from time to time be made of the
revised traffic parking map.

(2) One cop_y shall be filed with the chief,
Paris police department, and shall be
maintained up-to-date by the Director of
Community Development by posting all
changes in the form of subsequent
amendments for use in enforcing the
observance of said no-parking
established.

Section 2. The Director of Community Development is
directed to change the Traf_fic No-Parking Map to coincide
with and refZect the no parking established in the Revised
Traffic Parking Map.
Section 3. Any person violating any of the
provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C"
Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum
not to exceed $200.00, and each and every day's continuance
of_ any violation of the above enumerated section shall
constitute and be deemed a separate offense.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective on
April l, 1987.
