AN ORDINANCE CLOSIN(x THE ALLEY, BEGINNING AT THE SOUTH
BOUNDARY LINE OF KAUFMAN STREET AND RUNNING SOUTH FOR
APPROXIMATELY 154.3 FEET, SOMETIMES REFERRED TO AS 4TH
STREET S. E. AND SOMETIMES REFERRED TO AS AN AI,LEY;
DECLARING NO NECESSITY OR NEED OF SAID ALLEY FOR CITY USE
OTHER THAN FOR A UTILITY EASEMENT, WHICH IS EXPRESSI.Y
RETAINED BY THE CITY OF PARIS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE OF NIARCH 30, 1987.
WHEREAS, tt has been brought to the attention of the
City Council of the City of Paris, that an alley, beginning
at the South Boundary line of Kaufman Street and running
South for approximately 154.3 feet, sometimes referred to as
4th Street S. E. and sometimes referred to as an alley; is
of no use as an alley or street to the City of Paris or to
its citizens, but is of use and necessary to the City of
Paris and its citizeris for utility easement purposes, and
the City Counci.l so finds; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE' CITY OF
PARIS:
Section 1. That the alley, beginning at the South
Boundary line of Kaufman Street and running 5outh for
approxi.matelV 154.3 feet, sometimes referred to as 4th
Street S. E. and sometimes referred to as an allev described
in Exhibit A attached hereto, is hereby closed~, with the
City of Paris retaining a utility easement.
Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective on
March 30, 1987.
Passed and adopted this 30th day of March, 1987.

of Paris, County of Lamar and State of Texas, a part

City Block 182, and being a 30 foot lane now owned by
the City of Paris, and being more particularly describe
as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron pin for corner in the South
Boundary Line of East Kaufman Street, same being the
Northeast corner oi a 0.91 acre tract of land conveyed
First Baptist Church by deed recorded in Volume 694,
page 558, 1.amar County Leed Records;
7'HENCE SOUTH a distance of 156.75 feet, an iron
pin for corner, the Northwest corner of a 30 foot lane
conveyeci First Baptist Church by the City of Paris and
recorded in Volume 654, page 892, of said Deed Records;
THENCE N 85029' E, with the North Boundary Line of
0.107 Ac. - said tract described in Vol. 654, Page 892, a distance
