AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE N0. 1710 OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES
ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A
COMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) ON LOTS l, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11,
129 13, 14, AND THE SOUTH PART OF LOT 5, CITY BLOCK 182, ON
PROPERTY BELONGING TO FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, SO AS TO INCLUDE
THERF.IN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A MULTI-FAMILY
DWELLING DIS'rRICT N0. 1(MF-1); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUND-
ARIES OF THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) SO ESTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section l. That the boundaries heretotore established
by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of
Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed,
and that a COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C), be, and the same is
hereby established on LOTS 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 109 11, 12, 139
14, ANli THE SOUTH PART OF LOT 5, CITY BLOCK 182„ on
property belonging to FIF.ST BAPTIST CHURCH, so as to include
in such COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) the hereinafter described
property, which was formerly and is presently designated as
a MULTI-FAM~LY DWELLING DISTRICT N0. 1(MF-1), and that the
boU.ndaries of said COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C), be, and the same
are hereby established as follows:
Situated within the corporate limits of the
City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of
Texas, and being Lots l, 2, 39 7, 8, 9, 109 11,
12, 13, 14, and the South part of Lot 5, City
Block 182, and further described as follows;
BEGINNING at the intersection of the East
boundary line of 3rd S.E. with the North boundary
line of East Austin Street, said point being the
Southwest corner of Lot 1, City Block 182;
THENCE North with the East boundary line of
3rd S.E., a distance of 233 feet to the Northwest
corner of Lot 3, City Block 182;
THENCE East with the North line of said Lot
3, City Block 182 and its eastward extension a
distance of 397 feet to the Northwest corner of
Lot 7, City Block 182;
THENCE South with the east line of said Lot
7, and with the east line of Lot 8, City Block
182, a distance of 101 feet to the North line of
Lot 12, City Block 182;
THENCE East with the North line of Lots 12,
13 and 14, City Block 182 a distance of 117 feet
more or less to the Northeast corner of Lot 14,
City Block 182;
THENCE South with the East line of said Lot
14, City Block 182, a distance of 144 feet to a
point in the North boundary line of East Austin
Street, said point being the Southeast corner of
said Lot 14;
THENCE West with the North boundary line of
East Austin Street, a distance of 522 feet more or
less to the place of: beginning.
Section 2. That the Director of Community Development
of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to
change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance
wifih the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use
map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Paris, in regular session convened, in the Council Room,
City Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 8th day of June, 1987.
