87-034 ORD PROVIDING CODE OF ORDINANCES BE AMENDED BY REVISING TRAFFIC-CONTROL DEVICE MAP ADOPTED IN PARAGRAPH (b) OF SECTION 29-80 OF SAID CODE
ORDINANCE N0. $7-034
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS, BE AMENUED BY REVISING THE TRAFFIC-CONTROL DEVICE MAP
ADOPTED IN PARAGRAPH (b) OF SECTION 29-80 OF SAID CODE;
PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PRUVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF AUGUST l, 1987.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY UF
PARIS:
Section 1, That the Traffic-Control Device Map adopted
in Paragraph (b) of Section 29-80 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Paris be amended to include stop signs as
follows :
"Stop Belmont Street at 17th Street N.E., from
the East and West;
Stop Cherry Street at lOth Street N.E., from
the East and West;
Stop 6th Street S.W. at West Sherman Street,
from the South;
Stop 6th Street S.W. at West Washington
Street, from the North and South."
Section 2. Any persoxi violating any of the provisions
of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C" Misde-
meanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not to
exceed $200.00.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on
August 1, 1987.
