87-049 ORD PROVIDING CODE OF ORDINANCES BE AMENDED BY RENUMBERING SECTION 14-4 TO 14-5 AND REVISING SECTION 14-4 OF SAID CODE ORDINANCE N0. 87-049 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY RENUMBERING SECTION 14-4 TO 14-5 AND REVISING SECTION 14-4 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF OCTOBER l, 1987. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That Section 14-4 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be renumbered to 14-5. Section 2. That Section 14-4 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: "Sec. 14-4. Illegal dumping from vehicle. (a) It is unlawful to illegally dump from a vehicle within the corporate limits of the city. (b) In this section, "illegal dumping" means the disposal of trash, refuse, waste, litter, or any other material in violation of a law of the State of Texas or an ordinance of the City of Paris. (c) It is an exception to the applica- tion of this section that the person has a valid license with or contract from the State of Texas, a political subdivision of the State of Texas, or the City of Paris to dispose of the material in the manner and at the place in which it was disposed." Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Misdemeanor, and u on conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed ~2,000.00, and each and every day`s continuance of any violation of the above enumerated section shall constitute and be deemed a separate offense. Section 4. AI1 ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective on October 1, 1987.
