ORDINANCE N0. $7-051
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE
AMENDED BY REVISING ARTICLE I OF CHAPTER 28 OF SAID CODE BY
ADDING SECTION 28-2.5; ESTABLISHING FEE FOR ISSUANCE OF TAX
CERTIFICATE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE OF OCTOBER 1, 1987.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section l. That Article I, Chapter 28 of the Code
of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be aMended
by adding Section 28-2.5 so that such shall read as follows:
"Sec. 28-2.5. Tax Certificates.
At the request of any person, the tax
collector for the City of Paris shall issue a
certificate showing the amount of delinquent
taxes, penalities, and interest due the city on a
property according to the city's current tax
records. The collector shall charge a fee of
$10.00 for each certificate issued."
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on
October 1, 1987.
