ORDINANCE N0. $7-068 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE N0. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A COMNiERCIAL DISTRICT (C) UN LOTS 8 AND 10, CITY BLOCK 313, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO DAVID GLASS, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS AN AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) SO ESTABLISHED. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section l. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C), be, and the same is hereby established on LOTS 8 AND 10, CITY BLOCK 313, on property belonging to DAVID GLASS, so as to include in such COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently designated as an AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A), and that the boundaries of said CONNERCIAL DISTRICT (C), be, and the same are hereby established as follows: Situated within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Tex.as, and being a certain tract or parcel of land situated about 3 miles East from the City of Paris, County of Lamar and State of Texas, a part of the Joseph Leach Survey and being further described as follows; BEGINNIrdG at a stake for corner in the South Boundary Line of U. S. Highway No. 82, said point being the Northeast corner of a tract of land conveyed W. H. Peterson by S. E. Smith and wife on November 22, 1929, and of record in Book 224, Page 506 of_ the Deed Records of said County and State; THENCE North 89 Degrees 31 Minutes East a distance of 141.2 feet to an iron pin for corner; THENCE South 1 Degree 45 Minutes East a distance of 250 feet to an iron pin for corner; THENCE North 89 Degrees 31 Minutes East a distance of 4.0 feet to an iron stake for corner; THENCE South 1 Degree 45 Minutes East a distance of 350 feet to an iron pin for corner; THENCE South 89 Degrees 31 Minutes West a distance of 302.2 feet to a point for corner; THENCE North 1 Degree 45 Minutes West a distance of 600 feet to a point in the South Boundary Line of U.S. Highway 82; THENCE North 89 Degrees 31 Minutes East a distance of 157 feet to the place of beginning. Section 2. That the Director of Community Development of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance. Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon passage.
