ORDINANCE N0. 37-078 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 14-51 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR CLARIFICATION OF SOLID WASTE SERVICE FEES; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $500.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JANUARY 1, 1988, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That Section 14-51 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: "Sec. 14-51. Solid waste service fee rate. Beginning January 1, 1988, the division shall collect five dollars ($5.00) for each residential water meter customer. A residential water meter customer who dwells in a multi-family complex consisting of four (4) units or more whose land- lord has an annual trash service contract with an approved commercial trash collector is entitled to make application to the Water Billing Office to reduce their solid waste service fee rate from five dollars ($5.00) to one dollar ($1.00). The division shall collect one dollar and fifteen cents ($1.15) for each commercial and industrial water meter customer." Section 2. Any person violating any of the pro- visions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $500.00, and each and every day's continuance of any vio- lation of the above enumerated section shall constitute and be deemed a separate offense. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on January 1, 1988.
